I've now been waiting a month for some stuff from ebuyer. I ordered some USB hubs and added some other cables and stuff to take me over the £100 free delivery limit. The only ship when the whole order is complete. The hubs were out of stock. When they came in stock the cables went out of stock. I have changed my order(Cable lengths etc) to try and get everything in stock at the same time. It's never worked. This sort of fiasco has been going on for a month now and I'm now going to cancel my order.
I mailed them and this is the reply:
If you place an order with Ebuyer and one item is out of stock then the
whole order will not be processed until all line items are in stock. In
theory this could mean that the item you were waiting for arrives in
stock but other items on your order have now also gone out of stock.
Our system works this way as we do not have the facilities to reserve
stock for customers, for example 1 customer could order 100 pieces of in
stock memory and 1 out of stock USB cable. This would then mean this
stock is being held until the cable arrives in stock. This does not
make economical sense so here at Ebuyer we do not allocate stock until
all line items are ready for shipment, only then is payment taken and
the order dispatched.
If you want to avoid this then the best option is to cancel off the out
of stock item/s so the in stock items will ship immediately, and place
the out of stock items on their own order
Sincerely
Ebuyer
