Panasonic DMC-LX3 firmware update

I might have missed it elsewhere on the forum, but I just found out that Panasonic released firmware update 1.3 for the LX3.

Improvements include:

1. Improved auto white balance performance.
2. Improved auto white balance performance in sunset mode.
3. Improved recovery operation from unremoved lens cap.
4. Improved operation of MF ASSIST/AF area selection.
5. Improved display of Manual Exposure Assistance.


I'll pick it up and apply it after work.

Be aware that some new Panasonic firmwares will disable use of some or all third party batteries. Details here:

Not sure whether it's included in existing downloadable firmware updates, or whether it will be just future updates.

I hope its easier that the firmware update for its sister, the D-Lux 4, which I have still not been able to carry out ¬_¬
