Has anybody got/ordered the R3 Friday The 13th DVD?

I assume that it's the unrated version, containing Savini's gorier effects, as the Japanese VCD is the uncut version.

if paramount release it,odds are they will use the same print used in the region 1...

Actually you woold think that, but the other day TCM showed Friday the 13th and to my suprise it was the full uncut version, as all the cuts on this website ...... http://website.lineone.net/~darkangel5/friday.htm were intact, so possibly the Region 2 may be lined up for an uncut version.

Warner Bros hold the UK rights to part 1.
I'm told they do plan on releasing it in the UK before the end of the year.

But, when i asked two weeks ago, no one at Warner had a clue as to which version will be released.

The cut down R rated print was certified BBFC 18, the previous pre VRA was uncut & BBFC rated X.

So they do have both versions in the vault, fact.

I've done a search on an R3 F13th dvd, no sign of one, where did you see it listed?

Sadly it's Paramount Hong Kong.

I asked a friend in distribution at Paramount UK & she said every NTSC dvd release will share the same US transfer but with different subtitles added.

Our only hope is Warner Bros & their eventual dvd release -Japan, Sweden, UK & one other nordic country.
