VXR Race Days

I know its been mentioned before here and is popular. VXR Race Days are going on now and over the next month, some dates are still available. £120 for a morning or afternoon session (up from the £95 last year :(), but well worth it. Last year I got 22 laps of Oulton Park in a variety of VXR edition cars, as well as some slalom driving and a ride on two wheels.

Also looks like you can only book one ticket at a time - me and a friend booked at the same time to ensure we both got one for the same event.

If you are a VXR owner (like me) you can go to one of the owners events (same page) for £75

But run the risk in your own car no? I know I'd rather pay the extra 60 notes and not worry about any damage and also the amount of tyres and pads you go through,

I was going to book another track day in my RS4 but when I saw this I couldn't pass it by. I can spend 100 notes booking the track, then up to 200 notes a corner on tyres and then the fuel on top! It's 800 notes on a bad day!.

You don't use your own car, it's just a discount for been an owner of a VXR :)

Just thought I'd post to thank the OP for recommending this. I had great fun on my day today at Rockingham. The time you get on the track is superb.

They also mentioned that there are a few places left on some of the remaining days.

I had a fantastic morning on Wednesday at Croft - the rain just added to the fun :D. I must wholeheartedly recommend the ride with Andy Jordan, member of the VXR BTCC team - the speed is unreal.

If anybody sees next year's days get a mention, please remember to post about it. I only learned about this one late on after the days had already started. When I look at what I got to do this year, I estimate the price to Vauxhall is probably two to three times the cost of the ticket - it really is a bargain.

I went with Andy Joran and James and they were almost identical but think James had the edge on the showboating!

Thruxton is an awesome track and I got 93% on the Telemetry so pretty pleased with that. The Astra VXR really does go round the track well and just grips so well.

Yes, please post back as soon as anyone hears we can book next year as it's a MUST do on the calendar now and the track time is brilliant. I'd say I got a good 30+laps in nearly all of the models!
