Problems? The benefits of being a site sponsor means that you can post in which ever thread you choose.

Craig - you shouldn't even be posting in ********* related threads anyway.

So the fact that ********* sponsored the forums for ages and lent there support counts for nothing then?

The T&C's are very specific in saying that commercial advertising is prohibited if you are not a site sponsor and Craig decided to pull out - this means that he no longer gets the priviledges associated with sponsoring the forums.

Craig - I'll say it once more just in case you didn't read my above post. If you persist in posting in threads that are related to ********* you will find your posting rights suspended indefinitely. Contact members via email if you must, but we do not appreciate you posting in threads that are related to your business as you are breaking the rules of this forum every time you do so.

We have approached Colin about taking out Spnosorship if things are now on a more even playing field...

Splob

I don't want to start anything here, as i am just a customer, albiet a customer of both Ringo's and *********.

You gave Craig a bit of a telling off, for what ? He was not advertising his site.

However Stu in the very post before, is invading a ********* post, which there are no rules against posting to, in order to defer the topic and increase sales.

I like Both suppliers, i use them both, but i don't like to see one getting brownie points off admin and therefore getting preferrencial rights.

********* sponsored these forums for a long time, and i'm sure their funds went a long way to making this forum what it is today.

The thing your not realising is that ********* forfeited their right to answer ********* related questions in these forums when they stopped their sponsorship. When Craig answers questions related to his company then he is undoubtedly advertising, he is providing a service on behalf of *********.

Stu can post where ever he likes because he's a forum sponsor as posted by Splobber, as a forum sponsor you get 'preferential rights'. PLus this is not an official ********* thread.

Your right that ********* sponsored these forums and it was most welcome but now their not it is only right that their rights are revoked. How would you feel if you were Ring0s or dvdcrave and paid X amount of pounds for sponsorship rights only for ********* to not pay anything and still get sponsors rights?

And before you say it I too am a ********* and Ring0s customer.

Alanok - i agree with most of your points (again if posting here is wrong but i thought i could point out a few points here rather than starting a whole new thread that is not an MT started thread).

Thing is though, we were the first company to ever have a sticky thread, thanks to Mick (White Line). We did have rights to cross post in other threads but comman sense told us that it would cause trouble, personally i think it should not be allowed, as a sticky, banner etc should be enough.

Also there are 3 main reasons why we pulled out of sponsorship of this site, not that i wanted too and i have asked to come back but have had no answer in over a week, the main reason is being discussed over in the Gerneral Discussion Forum under important -bootlegs.

Alanok pretty much sums up everything that I would have said but I'll add my thoughts.

As a forum sponsor you can attempt to get business from any thread that isn't from another sponsor. If Stu wants to post in a thread in an attempt to generate extra business for himself, then he is more than entitled to. Craig did the same when he was a sponsor - he no longer has this luxury. That's his choice when he decided to pull out - he knew what he stood to forfeit.

For Craig to continue to advertise ********* (by posting in a MT related thread, he is automatically promoting his business for free), is not only against the terms and conditions, it is detrimental to every sponsor that pays money to advertise here.
