Birmingham was extremely proud to have hosted the very memorable UKC '08 (http://www.ko-gathering.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=14739), Birmingham and the surrounding area remains the centre of much KO2 action, and with Birmingham being home to the reigning UK Champion (Jon G), we just had to do it again!

As with before, we'l be hiring out a conference room for about 20 people and just outside the room will be a TV showing football scores as they happen along with live Premiership football.

Drinks and snacks will be readily available and with a McDonalds, Sainsburys and Pub all within walking distance, you will never be more satisfied.

With game prices showing no signs of relenting and multi player reduced to a lonely affair over hyperspace, this is your chance to relive your youth and experience all the laughter and excitement exactly like it used to be. Keep it old skool, keep it Kick Off 2.

Why are these things always a million miles away from London? :(

A few years back the UK Champs was held in Reading but each year, it's a case of who's willing to host it and put in all the effort. We hope to have a few people from London attending and the great thing about Kick Off 2 tournaments is that you only need a minimum of 4 people for an event to be recognise at the Kick Off Association.

So you could meet up at the UK Champs, make a load of friends (trust me, they are all very cool) and then who knows, maybe have regular tournaments down in London.

I remember feeling exactly the same way too but I nevertheless took the plunge and went to Manchester (I live in Birmingham) for my first tourney. It was the UK Champs a few years back - and I've not looked back since! :)

There's sure to be other guys who are travelling from London. You might even be able to hitch a lift off one of them! All I'm saying is, give it some thought and don't automatically rule it out due to the distance.

Cheers to Tom btw for the good wishes!
