I've got me a Digitheatre DTS amp at home and currently I'm running my PS2 through the analog sockets on the back of the amp.

I've just acquired a pair of phono leads, which can be connected from the back of my 28" Hitachi Widescreen to the amp.

Ideally, I would like to run all my consoles (Gamecube/PS2/DC/XBox) through the amp, but it isn't possible since I only have the one pair of phono sockets on the back of the amp, so the direct solution isn't a viable option. Leaving me with the option of connecting my consoles up via the TV as per usual and running the phono leads from the back of the TV to the Digitheatre amp, which will take the TV speakers out of the equasion.

How much sound quality would I lose going through the TV to the amp? As opposed to going via the PS2 to the amp?

I have a PS2 and Digitheatre DTS and have linked them up using an optical cable from Dixon (£7.99)

Sounds great and games like SSX Tricky are actually in DTS aswell. You can hear the boarders coming from behind you on the slopes.

Then link your TV to the Amp using phonos. Whatever is being produced on screen will then go to your amp.

Thanks for that mate :)

I'll be sure to pick one of those up me thinks. Is the optical cable of a long length?
