The idea for the thread is to post daily updates on the latest 360 offers, many of which only last a day or two. I'll add any links to this thread daily and please add any you see yourself :)
Cheers , went for a copy as well. Reviews seem pretty good although Rare have made some downright average (if im being generous :p) stuff recently.

Ooh, I was going to post the Banjo bargain tonight as I'd been using that price (unsuccessfully!) as a haggling tool on the General Classified Adverts Forum. Beaten to it in the end, but well spotted!
I saw Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts for £9 instore at HMV today. Small saving but it's there (though of course you're not helping the forums if you buy instore).

Apparently some asda stores are doing Banjo at £10 instore as well as part of their stock clearance, it is up to each store manager though so my store are doing it at £15, they did have mirrors edge for £9.75 though which is a decent price for it (another one I bought last year and haven't got round to playing yet.....only payed £15 for it though so no great loss).
I was thinking it might be an idea to have a thread to bump for 360 bargains as there's usually a few decent offers every week I see on my internet travels.

Bump for Guitar Hero Greatest Hits :)
Thanks. Thats quite a saving on a new release. Although as its a rehash this is probably closer to the price it should be.
Yep gone for it too thanks
cheers went for guitar hero

Good spot. Gone for the Amazon Offer.
£24.99 for game and guitar is a cracking price.
Even better, changed order, like I really need another plastic guitar about the house thou!

Got Mirrors Edge for £6.50 in Brierley Hill Asda yesterday (last one I think) - they had Tomb Raider Underworld for £7.50, and quite a few other things for 360, Wii and PS3 etc.
Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0022NHMTK/thedvdforums-21) £24.99 at Amazon.co.uk (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8) also, but you can get a free wired controller with it.
think there might be some fineprint on that free guitar offer judging by the * asterisk, free when bought as art of a console bundle if I read it correctly. Also didn't see the guitar in my trolley when I clicked add to basket.

Yeah the amazon order works fine, you just need to add both items and go to the checkout stage for the discount to show, changed my preorder as well, good spot Kat :)
yeah thats what happened the last time with the Metallica packages but when I checked again just then the guitars weren't added to the cart, not that I need one mind im another that has several of them stinking up the house.

Hmm, weird, I was in two minds whether to bother swapping over the preorder as well as I've got enough guitars but I figured I can always give it to a mate.
Yep your right, works after doing what you said Carlito. The Metallica solus still comes with this guitar as well.
Blah DVD affilate link not working.

guess the free guitar has gone now! Good thread this - nice if it could be made a sticky!
yes I have used Amazon before but never for a preorder so a valid question in th srespect. :brickwall
Then you would know that you don't get charged until they send your order so it isn't going to be any different for a pre-order.

Looks like the free guitar offer has finished but will keep an eye out in case amazon find more stock.
Then you would know that you don't get charged until they send your order so it isn't going to be any different for a pre-order.
Im unsure about this myself, they would have to charge something now surely because as the others said the free guitars ship immediately, not with the preorder.
I like the cheapo 360 games thread idea, wheres the PS3 one though? :p

i do know that all my amazon orders have shipped the day I placed them (lucky I guess) so would be no noticable difference between whether they charge on order or dispatch at my end. hence the question this time, so no need for the attitude but hey some people just get up grumpier I guess.
A few from the Zavvi Mega Monday sale which appears to have gone live already:-
Madden 09 @ £9.95 (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=311&url=http://www.zavvi.co.uk/zavvi/9982216.product)
^ same price on PS3 so I picked up a copy after viewing a few of the reviews
Battlefield Bad Company @ £11.95 (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=311&url=http://www.zavvi.co.uk/zavvi/9966398.product)
Great price for an incredibly entertaining multiplayer game which is still very active and has single player of course.

Was just going to post those myself, decent price on those two titles, tempted by Madden myself....
They also have NHL2K9 for £6.95 here. (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=311&url=http://www.zavvi.co.uk/zavvi/9992360.product)
A few other games included but nothing else noteworthy pricewise.
Yeah, I saw NHL 2K9 but was put off by the press/reader reviews. 2K sports titles seemed to peak a few years back but are really falling behind now IMO.
Im a fan of the Madden series, have 1000/1000 gamerscore on 06, 900?/1000 on 07 which is the most you can get due to an unachievable achievement based around a game not released in the EU and 1000/1000 on 08 on the 360 so you could say I've exhausted them but just fancied picking it up on the PS3 this time to play play rather than worry about achievement whoring and the video review I watched looked really good.
Battlefield BC is well worth the money, anyone thats sitting on the fence should checkout the multiplayer demo or some gameplay videos and it'll be a guaranteed sale. It doesn't get much better or sillier than large scale battles on a golf course, driving round a golf course in a golf cart drawing fire from a tank to give your teammate enough time to target said tank with a laser guided bomb. The engine, sound effects and level of destruction really make the game plus I really like the weapon unlocks and ranking system.

Nascar 09 is in that Zavvi mega Monday deal. I haven't the link to hand. I was gonna get it till I realised I am only racing in circles for 500 laps :p
I looked at Nascar as well, terrible review scores though. Added to that Gran Turismo 5 has a Nascar license this year so I think that'll be "slightly" better. :p

Edited the first post to remove the expired offers - not left with much for now :D A lot of the games have gone up by £3-£5 still a decent price but not really bargains anymore.
Will keep my eyes open for more this week.....
Banjo Kazooie now 13.99 .....
my guitar is on the way. They charged me £18.00. is that them just pro rataing the order and will i just get charged £7 or so for the game making it 24.99 ?
My guitar arrived this morning! I was charged £18.43 for guitar with £6.56 to come once game has shipped.
Yep my guitar has just arrived too.
Guitar Arrived this morning.
LAbel sates pre-sel item with GHWT only.
Guess they didnt shift as many GHWT's as tey thought they would.
Is it just me or does this guitar feel a lot smaller and lighter than the others :s
Im assuming that now they've shipped part of these orders that the can't under contractual law change the price of GH:Greatest Hits. I'll check the bank when Im next there to see if they've taken any money for mine.

hahaha, I knew I'd seen it cheaper on the 360 and had seen that bundle on this forum a few times, only reason I knew it was £16.99 at Gameplay is that I picked up the Ultimate Box last friday specifically for the PS3 seeing as I already had the standard version on 360 but only have a silver account at the moment so missed out on the multiplayer on the Xbox version. :)

I agree, i'd avoid it at great length if this was the case.
Something like Gears of War II is perfect for short bursts. Plus, it's awesome.

Personally I thiink this game can be pretty unforgiving and when you first start it. Initially the timers for scoops and sub missions/missions are confusing and irritating as you'll try to do everything and realise you can't. Best thing I ever did was start a game grab a car from the car park and go down to the underground garage and just run laps through it whilst going for the kill 50,000 zombies achievement (or whatever it was) as doing this will level up your character to max.
When you hit max level the game is a fair bit more enjoyable imo as you get new moves and little more health and larger inventory if I recollect.
Can't say I would recommend this as a title to just pick up and play, there are other sandbox games more suited to that.:)
Thanks for the tips, will look out for GoW cheap :D

Thanks for this. Ordered at the weekend and arrived this morning. Been after this for a while and cheaper than eBay!
OT but ... why are practically all the songs cover versions? Bit disappointing although the song choice seems better than later GHs.
SKN, can you please add an affiliate link to your post where needs be, ta.
yeah sorry Alan, have a habit of posting stuff when im in a rush - will make sure I do so in future. :)

GH2 was before the big guitar game craze, basically the bands either wanted too much $ or did not want their master recording in the game. Nowadays they are tripping over themselves to get in them.
Much better game then GH3 btw, cover versions or not ;)
The tracks on GH2 are by far the best tracks imho, bar a few on the 80's one.
The rest have been well playable but GH2 just notches ahead for the tracks.

Thanks for the explanation. Yup - good tracks but some of the cover versions do jar a bit which is a shame.

Couple of new deals seen today.....
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (Legacy Edition) - £9.89 At Sendit (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=72&url=http://www.sendit.com/sendit/9960059.product)
Call Of Duty 4 + Burnout Paradise (Ultimate Edition) for £30.60 at Argos (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=28&url=http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5667747/Trail/searchtext%3EBURNOUT+PARADISE.htm#tab3) Basically add Burnout Paradise and there should be a little linked offer text meaning you can add another game for £15, there's loads to choose from but COD4 is the only one worth going for if you want a bargain.
The offer should be both games for £45 but for some reason it confirms the total at £30.60, get a reservation number and it works fine in store to pickup.

Im inclined to agree wouldn't bother with many RTS games on the consoles but as far as I know Civilization Revolution is turn based strategy so quick precise movements don't matter as much. :)
Ninja Gaiden 2 is great at that price btw, the game has a fair bit of replay value imo.

I can't imagine C&C being fun with a controller, but Civ is a turn-based game so it's much more manageable. It still took some getting used to the controller for me, but it's perfectly playable - it's ground-up been designed as a console-friendly version of the real Civ game.

Me and Deeshum were just talking about Sacred 2 being great value for money at £29.99 when we pre-ordered it, but at £18!!!!
The game is massive. Been playing it for over 20 hours now and only uncovered 20% of the map. The way you can just jump into a friends game to help them and vice versa is great.

Well, i LOVE Oblivion (still playing it when i have time), couldn't get on with Fable 2 (too cute) and thought Fallout was good but i hate futuristic games, so binned it after a week.
It was summed up earlier in the Thread, Sacred 2 is like a cross between Gauntlet and Oblivion. If you like it, then you will love it. :D
When any of the guys buuying it for £18 get it, let us know and we can get a 4 player co-op on the go. If you guys set the game up, we can all come in tooled up and get you up the levels quickly. ;)
Have only played 2 player with Deeshum, but he is off on holiday next week so would be good to race up a few levels while he is away.

I tryed out a couple of the games I mentioned on this thread earlier today, namely Naruto and Sega Superstars Tennis.
Pretty pleased with them really, the presentation and graphics in Naruto are stunning to say the least mostly cell shaded stuff with alot of clips from the cartoon its all very well done. Sega Superstars Tennis for £3.78 was good as well, seems to be way too difficult for some reason on single player. Played a game as Aii from Monkeyball against Eggman from Sonic and struggled to get a shot past him and I was thinking to myself this is hard he then started launching spiked balls down the court at me  so yeah hard but a decent game in the vein of Mario Tennis really nice looking graphics as well on the characters and courts. :)

*must not buy more games*
I was in Tescos on saturday and was able to pick up Test Drive Unlimited on the 360 for 5 quid brand new and sealed. There were a few other games such as Saints Row 2 on the PS3 but nothing that you couldn't get online for the same price/cheaper.
Might be worth a nosey anyway to see what your local has.
Shopto have Overlord 2 for £12.79. It's only been out just over a month!
They also have Fuel for £15.

4000 points to buy all the content included so if you were planning on buying it all I'd say yes, 4000 points would cost at least £30, similar story with the GOW2 bundle.

Aye good stuff, you can tell its christmas time over at Gamestation they had alot of really good bargains last year as well.
Ended up going for all of the above just for the CE/GOTY editions and included DLC, I'll sell my standard editions on for a half decent price hopefully.

The thing that's always put me off Fallout 3 is that it looks really complex! I prefer a straight forward, following a story shooter than spending ages getting sidetracked!
A friend of mine said that and also said the same thing about Oblivion, the thing that appeals to me about both though is that apart from the main storyline (obviously) you can pretty much make your own story. The possibilites are almost endless....for example in Fallout 3 upon leaving the Vault I came to the first town, a town built around a nuke  went into the bar, a shifty looking guy asked me to set off the nuke, I refused and he said I'd regret it then walked out....much later in the game he was sending people after me (to kill me). Taking that scenario though I've seen a fair few different resolutions to that incident, one involved a sheriff getting killed in the bar, one involved helping the sheriff to kill the shifty looking guy in the bar another involved setting off the nuke and blowing up the town etc. The game is full of these dilemmas :)
In both games defence they will pretty much hold your hand and lead you to the games conclusion if thats what you want, but your missing out on a whole lot of fun and some of the best parts of the game.
Fallout 3 was possibly GOTY for me last year though so obviously I would heap alot of praise on it.

well you could sell orig fallout for £10 so its £10 extra for all the DLC, which again you can then sell on (rather than download and have no resell value)
I liked having the DLC, meant i managed to get up to level 30, did actually visit every location in the game in the end, and i preferred the ending once you have broken steel. worth it to extend the game for a while longer (i didn't do zeta).

Yeah the main game has a central narrative and there are loads of side bits and bobs to grow your character. Then the DLC's are like largish quests in their own right.

they must of as my mate got it when it first come out and I thought I could buy the original and save some money but the DLC was codes. They might of changed it as people complained as there are some gamers that still don't have live
Makes sense to not have codes to be honest, I always thought the whole idea of the GOTY edition was to appeal to people who hadn't bought the DLC e.g. people without live.
Thats why the GOW2 one is odd!
But yeah, Fable is deffo on the disc now, I had a look around the fable forums.
It all sounds a bit  to be honest. I have no intention of getting Live for my son but I guess I'm going to have to faff around with the Gold trial downloading the extra content.

Batman Arkham Asylum is £17.95 over at Zavvi on both 360 and PS3.
Already got it myself but great deal for those that don't own it.
Batman Arkham Asylum £17.95 @ Zavvi (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=311&url=http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/batman-arkham-asylum/10035800.html)
Tekken 6 is the same price.
Naruto Rise of a Ninja for £7.95 is a stonking deal as well.
Dammit, fantastic price!!! - Argh my poor, poor credit card
I do love the way you wait a month or so and the price plummets!
Going to leave Assassins Creed 2 and see if it takes a dip around Christmas
Yeah I was lucky and got it for £22 on launch, worth mentioning though if you have the choice between 360 and PS3 version there are some exclusive free Joker challenge levels in the PS3 version.

Nice one S K N, I was just going to post those, going to go for Batman myself.
Damn you S_K_N... Damn you. I've been following the recent flood of posts here with interest, satisfied that I have either played or have no interest in all the games mentioned here, and mainly hoping for a cheap Assassin's Creed II.
And then you post that Batman link.
Damn you.
That is... what I really mean to say is, thank you!

Pro Evo Soccer 2010 XBox 360 (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=311&url=http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/pes-2010-pro-evolution-soccer/10042540.html) - £17.95 at Zavvi (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=311) - same price for the Wii version, but so far not the PS3 one.
I assume this is their 'Monday' price, so might not be around for long.
This didn't take long to drop in price; Colin McRae: Dirt 2 £18.85 delivered at ShopTo.net (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=429&url=http://www.shopto.net/XBOX%20360/GAMES/XB2CO16-Colin%20McRae:%20DiRT%202.html).

Thanks, been waiting for this to come down as my boy wants if for Christmas.
Had a stack of my bargains from this thread and another bargain forum turn up today....
on PS3
COD WAW
Fallout 3 GOTY - simply immense
SF4 CE - bad CE imo but great at the price I paid for it
Tekken 6
on 360
GOW 2 GOTY
Fable 2 GOTY
thanks to everyone that posted the bargains.
Just need Brutal Legend, Ghostbusters, NFS Shift, DJ Hero, Op Flashpoint, IL2 and a few others to drop and I have the majority of the stuff which I want for this year. Brutal Legend and NFS have supposedly been poor sellers so im still hopeful for them hitting that sweet £18 mark and im sold on DJ Hero at £60 for standard or £90-£100 for renegade edition.

IL-2 is £17.99 at Play (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=2&url=http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/10267352/IL-2-Sturmovik-Birds-Of-Prey/Product.html) if that's cheap enough for you. Brutal Legends is also in their deal of the week section at £24.99.
I also picked up Fight Night Round 4 pre-owned in Blockbuster (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=441) for £14.95 at the weekend. Scanned at £17.95 (which is still cheaper than Amazon, Play etc.) but when I said there were several out at the same price I got the £3 knocked off. Perhaps a company-wide pricing cock-up?
I really need to pick up a set of Turtle Beach X1's I think, any tips on cheapest suppleirs fellow gameboiz? :D
