Yeah, looking to the side during a race isn't a good idea. Didn't learn all that much but he did say that there are four factors taken into account for progressing: personality, success, profile points and badges (I think those were the four). You level up in the game by doing well but your individual driving style plays a part in the way you level up.

I have enjoyed Gamespot's show floor coverage in previous years of E3 and I'm hoping for more of the same this year.

It was rumoured to be MS exclusive but that was before this EA deal, so who knows? Any mention of Mass Effect 2? Surprised it didn't get mentioned amongst the MS exclusives.

Yes Mass Effect 2 did feature at the EA press conference. Not a lot of detail but they showed the complete trailer.

It was all they could pull together having seen the MS conference. Seriously though, I missed everything between Mario 2dx4 & Mario Galaxy 2, sounds like there wasn't much in between but I'm looking forward to the things I did see at least.

Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games ever made, needless to say a sequel is quite wanted by me :D

Metroid Prime sounds good as well and the other Mario games should be a blast but sounds like a pretty poor show in general on Nintendos part.

Loved metroid prime 3 on the wii and probably would of got the new one. Team ninja (or what remains of the team) wouldn't get the feel of the series. Liked mario galaxy wouldn't be interested in MG 1.5

I saw the Ubisoft conference last night. It was awful, the spokesman kept on throwing out the worlds worst one-liners and no one laughed.

Good to see the Splinter Cell trailer, shame there was nothing on multi-player but I'm happy that single player is more like the multi-player game now.

In terms of announcements, two Mario games and a metroid is pretty good going. That's on top of the DS zelda announced a few weeks back

SMG2, SMB on the Wii (multiplayer battle and co-op), new Metroid is enough for me :)

One problem Nintendo had was that everyone has known about Motion Plus for months so that wasn't a big surprise but they still had to devote a fair amount of time to it.

Saw part of the EA conference (on gametrailers) as well. More specifically, the Grand Slam Tennis demonstration as given by ... Pete Sampras.
