That may be true but it's received 419 votes on IMDB and has a rating of 2.8.
Sounds like a real sinker.

Oh believe me it is REALLY bad. I bought it on VCD out of curiosity and it is shameful and to think its from the same director as DIE HARD and PREDATOR - a sad sad day for action fans.

Even the trailer for this film's bad. It's a bit like the made for tv films you get on C5.

The really shocking thing is that MGM were going to release it last summer but decided to cut all the sex and violence out of it so they could get a P.G cert.
And now we are denied a Rebecca Romjin-Stamos ( the blue bird from X-Men ) nude scene.

It always amazes and mystifies me how these suits at the film studios work. I mean, you remake a movie like Rollerball and then decide to cut the violence???

I too read on www.cinescape.com that they delayed the film to cut it from an R rating to get a PG-13 rating. Just goes to shoe they've no faith in their own film. This sounds really bad to me.
The trailer looks like complete rubbish. I'll be avoiding this one.

well looks like the DVD may have some merit!!
who thinks Scott Caan should have done the remake?? would have been cool, although Scott probably wouldn't think so!! :)

Actually the nude scene is there - however she has been tastefully covered by some digital tampering.
Even with the sex and violence the film still would be really bad, i mean theres a scene that takes place in green night vision for christs sake!! I thought it was my copy until i read some reviews that all pointed out the same thing.
Really really bad, anyway i thought there was no release date for the UK release yet?
But ORANGE COUNTY is class!
Rebecca Romjin-Stamos is shortly to be seen sans clothes in Brian De Palma's "Femme Fatale" if the rumours are correct.
Although I'm not overly keen on the original "Rollerball", the idea of remaking it was idiotic in the first place and I'm not at all surprised to learn that it's being filleted by the critics.

So it's about half an hour long now then, yeah?
Can't wait for more remakes like this! Titanic without that scary sinking bit. Saving Private Ryan without any gunfire. Star Wars with none of those scary Empire dudes. Bring it on!

LOL! :D
i absolutely love the original Rollerball and can't believe that they decided to remake it.
Especially since they took out a lot of the subtext which made the film truly interesting in the first place!
