Anyone had a look at this flick yet?
Gonna go and see it this week sometime, just wondering if anyone has any comments?

admittedly, it had worked it's way to the bottom of this forum!!
only a few comments, but pretty much summed it up nicely......
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not keen on the Farrelly Brothers but I thought this was a sweet natured, feelgood comedy with some sharp performances and a good script. It benefits hugely from the presence of Jack Black and Jason Alexander, both actors who raise an average script by the virtue of their presence. Admittedly, it's sentimental but the ending has a sort of blissfully off-beat quality that I found very appealing. There's also a good "Jerry Maguire" gag which made me laugh even if no-one else in the cinema found it funny. I also have to confess that any film which features Edison Lighthouse is alright in my book. After a lean period for comedies, it was nice to find one which delivered some genuine laughs for once.
I have to say i was a bit disapointed with this film. The trailers i saw seemed to pitch this film as a really funny comedy and it seemed to be quite an an interesting idea for a film. But, in my opinion it wasnt that funny, it was more of a love story which i found quite sad & touching in some places. Sure there were a few funny moments, but nearly all of those were shown in the trailer to the film anyway.
I wouldnt really recommend it. :(
