Yeah, I bought a 42" Panasonic Plasma from them about 6 years ago - had no problems at all dealing with them.

I've also bought from them (but ages ago) with no problems. Quick point, which I'm sure folks will have noticed - this screen isn't full HD.

Just as a small aside - the Panny C series don't have an anti-reflection coating on the screen, so if you get lots of light coming into the room it can lead to pretty bad reflections. A few people on AVforums have returned their sets for this reason.

Haven't bought anything from them but they are about a 2 minute walk from where I live. Whenever I go in there the guys are professional and have good advice.

Yes, some debate over if it matters for a "tiny" 37" screen.

I have a Panasonic TH-37PX8BA (Same resolution) and have been very happy with it.

I have "this years" version of this TV and it's superb. As has been said "full HD" is a subjective matter on a screen this size.

Only Blu-ray and some PS3 games output in 1080p anyway.

For £399 an absolute steal.

Yeah, what is it with these new-fangled resolutions - you can see a picture in colour what more do you want eh? :cuckoo:

Eh?

1080p and 720p are not known for being massively different, not to the normal human eye anyway.

Thats a bit uncalled for really. Its a 37" set, there are many other factors to consider than 1080p on a set this size. In fact there are some LCD's within this size range in which a 720p set will deliver a better picture than the average 1080p version, also SD generally looks better on a 720p set so thats something people might want to consider too.

Its not always as straight forward as 1080p for teh win!

Is it? My mistake.

I have a Panny X10, which is superb. I was obviously mis-led by the John Lews salesman.

Bottom line is Panasonic make great Plasmas.

The X10 is the spec above the C10 but the difference isn't much :)

Yeah ive just been to look at the Panasonics and the guy in their shop said the same thing - the C10 was last years model that is now discontinued but the X10 is the new replacement, contrast ratio and refresh times were higher, plus it now have 3x HDMI sockets compared to 2. However difference in price to this offer was around £699 for the new one, so that £300 saving sounds like a bargain :)

Here's a comparison (http://www.panasonic.dk/html/da_DK/427127/module/general/compare/products/displayResult.html?p=TX-P42C10&p=TX-P42X10) of the X10 & the C10 from panasonic's danish site - you'll see that the salesman was feeding you a nice line in ******** with regards to contrast & so on.

The differences are in hardware (fewer connections as you point out) & the lack of an anti-glare filter on the C10 (which is a dealbreaker for me) :)

lol that is awesome cheers!!! I should never ever ever trust a sales person, even if they do sound like they know what they are talking aboot!

I hadnt noticed the VGA connection was missing which is a bit of a pain for my xbox to do upscaling of DVDs, and although this would be sitting under my stairs and away from natural light the lack of glare filter is a little concerning....

It's a tricky one, because naturally you won't see whether it affects you or not until the TV is in situ. I suppose as long as the suppliers returns policy is ok then it's worth a go.

The cheapest 37" X10 I can find is £525, so there's a reasonable price difference between the 2.

Just to confirm that the postage for this is £19.99 which is reasonable given the size.

Also PRC Direct are doing a 5 year warranty option for £79 (special offer when you phone).

Would be worth going for it if intending to sell the TV on within that time.
