Sony 1070 Display Problems ?

I have noticed recently that some of the pixel elements on the display of my Sony 1070 Receiver are dimmer than others.

Has anyone else noticed this, is it just me who's dim ? (sic):D

Common problem that dates back to the 930's and beyond. Not sure what you can do if it's out of warranty...

Nope, less than a year. Bought in the Curry's pricing error !

Slightly worried that they would just say that it cannot be fixed and offer me a full refund (£300)

Thoughts anyone ?

It wouldn't be cost effective because it's resale value as a repaired faulty return would still be less than £300. You never know, they may give you a new one!

My 940 seems to be fine, but then I set the dimmer to nothing so that I don't wear out the pixels :D

I think any LED display will have this problem if you leave it showing the same thing all the time...
