View Full Version : Where can I get reasonably priced speaker stands from?
For Sony HTK215, I think Sony want £70 per pair which is a little pricey.
Anyone know of any cheaper alternatives that look nice?
Cheers

Friends of this forum www.beyondhifi.net appear to have a big range of stands - They are very helpful to boot so drop them an email & I'm sure they'll sort you out ... Paul ;)
The 215 satellite speakers are tiny cubes - my mate bought some for his 215 when tempo had their closing down sale. Argos has a few which are suitable for smaller speakers.
What did your mate think of the 215?
He's pretty happy with it (even though he had to pay full whack for it from currys - the internet stores had trouble with supplies), but it is his first HT setup. I haven't been over to listen so can't compare it with mine either. I only had a listen to it in Currys with their crappy setup but I was pretty impressed with the bass it produced :)

Try Ikea
I secong Ikea, £12 for the small stands and £15 for the tall stands. Go nicely with the type of speakers the Sony has.
The ones with the concrete base?
If so, I've had the small ones before and you had to drill your speakers to fix them?
Yeah the ones with the concrete bases. And if you follow the instructions to the letter you can drill your speakers but that would be a bit silly. I have used those sticky clear plastic blob things and they are pretty well stuck down and ain't moving anyway.
