Watched this last night, and was v.impressed. Great film, and well worth watching.

Although one thing gets me about the cover of the DVD.

Ben Affleck is on the cover clean shaved, which he is not at anything through out the film, and Jay and Silent bob are prominent on the cover, yet are only in it for 5 minutes max.

One last thing, is it me or is the transfer not that clean ?

They obviously just pasted a load of shots together for the cover, just publicity - you should see the cover for Roger Corman's Little Shop Of Horrors, a big Jack Nicholson holding Audrey - except it was Nicholson's first film and he's in it for 2 minutes and never goes near Audrey!! Just marketing tools I guess.

I don't know how much this has to do with the quality but the budget (due to the failure of Mallrats) was only $250,000 so maybe they couldn't quite afford the best gear or stock!

Just theories...

One last thing, is it me or is the transfer not that clean ? The film was shot on 16mm and then blown up to 35mm - thus magnifying the grain in the film stock. It's not the transfer at 'fault' it's the source material.
