Hey folks,
Just noticed this...
Cookworks Filter Coffee Maker (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=28&url=http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4227195/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CKitchen+and+laundry%7C12108409/c_2/2%7Ccat_12108409%7CSmall+kitchen+appliances%7C12108488/c_3/3%7Ccat_12108488%7CCoffee+machines%7C12108501.htm) for £5.84 ! ! !
It's over £20.00 on Amazon.
Think i might grab one for when we have friends/family over.
Cheers. :)

Its a Micromark on Amazon but it looks like the identical model.
Here's some reviews of it. Doesn't sound like a massive bargain but still worth a punt.

We bought this for work. Its alright but you can tell that costs were shaved from the quality of the plastics and glass. I accidently cracked the glass carafe as i was using a fork to swirl a foam scrubber around inside (the opening was too small for me to fit my hand in).
We got a £7 filter coffee maker from Asda, and that feels like its better quality (and bigger so its less likely that any clumsy oaf would break it) :)

Hmm... the ASDA (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=27&url=http://direct.asda.com/Smartprice-Coffee-Machine/001521308,default,pd.html) one is model number XQ682... :suspect:
It's currently £7.00 and Out Of Stock Online.
I got one of these and gave it back the next day. The quality was so poor. The swivel between the lid and coffee holder was very poor, caught on each other every time

Agree with that comment, but I'll keep a hold of mine, as it does what it says on the tin. Anyway, I'd it before I spotted the design flaw, so can't really take it back. Would cost more in petrol to do so.
Ordered one as I'm the only 1 that drinks coffee in our house. Worth a fiver if it only lasts 12 months!

In the end went to local Asda and they had one on display. Quality seemed good so I plumped for that one as its only an extra £1.16 more than the Cookworks one.
