Xbox, any good at DVD?

Are they any good at DVD?
what sort of outputs / connectors do they have
do they have digital audio out for dts decoding
do they even do dts?

I thought it didn't play dvd's out of the box? (you need a remote or something?) something about keeping the price down due to licensing? or did I just read it in my dreams?

Yup, you need a remote which is priced at £30.

From what i've read, better than PS2 - but not as good as a proper DVD.

Currently no way of multiregioning, but this will change.

If you buy a US DVD remote will play r1, UK DVD remote r2 (but it will stick with the first one you put in).

also I think you'll need a advanced av pack (so you can use optical?), they'll probally release a RGB version over here aswell ?
