Just got myself a digital SLR been looking for ages and made the jump from a fuji s5600 to a canon 450d with the standard lens and a 55-250 IS lens as well.

going to have to start reading and taking picture to get use it.

going to be a slow proccess but will be worth it in the end to get more in to photography.

Cool, this is a good place to get stuck in and post your shots. Entering the fortnightly competition is a good way to motivate yourself to shhot and will get you in practice for the Forums July "Photo A Day" extravaganza.

I find flickr to be a useful site too if you are not already a member.

If you want a simple way to 'pep' up your pics, I can recommend Google's Picasa :thumbs:

A great database for all your pics, and an easy way to crop, adjust levels & add effects, text, keywords, etc. The best feature is your original file is always seamlessly saved untouched if you ever want to revert back.

Another vote for Picasa. Does 80% of the things you want to do with 20% of the fuss.
