Anyone else interested in playing Uniwar (http://www.uniwar.com/) on the iPhone?

If you're not sure what it is then click the link, but it's basically a turn based strategy game similar in tone to Advance Wars. We can play in 1v1, 2v2 or 4v4 games, either in teams or against each other. You do not have to stay online all the time, you can make your moves at your own pace and the other players will then make their moves in turn.

The devs have said that as this game becomes more popular the price will rise but at the moment it's £0.59.

If anyone has got this, or is thinking of getting this then my user name is the same as my old SWG character: Jinko Dash so feel free to add me to your friend's list.

Does this have an offline mode or is it online only?

Offline play includes solo campaign, solo single game and multiplayer by handing your Iphone between players.

No problem, I've set it as one turn a day as I'm still getting to grips with the complexities of terrain bonuses and ganging up tactics. :thumbs:

Played this a little bit so far offline. Reminds me so much of one of my favourite ever games, Battle Isle on the Amiga.

Loving it, although a session chews through my iphone battery...

So far I've only got as far as mission 7 on the campaign. The one where you have to survive 20 levels. Failed every time. :thinking:

The price has now gone up to £1.79 now that the game has hit the top 50. The price will rise again once it hits the top 25 and even more if it goes top 10.

The servers have been updated yesterday so all community features should now be active. This should also improve performance.

Soberion, if you post your Uniwar user name I'll add it to the first post.

There's a turn-based strategy game out called Reign of Swords that might be worth a look if you like this. It looks and feels more like Fire Emblem than anything else, I would say. Anyway, they've dropped the price to 59p so it's well worth a go.
