Hmm... 3 of the top 4 hits in google for this question are to similar threads on this site. All very old and no answers. :D

Anyone got any suggestions they've discovered over the past decade or shall I use amazon.de? :D

English interface at:

www.jpc.de

Also a lot of continental (Swedish, Danish , Dutch) media etailers sell German imports as there are no legal U.K. BBFC type restrictions on selling imported Non-classified material.

(e.g swedish etailer: www.discshop.se)

It is probably better to come back & let people know which title you are looking for.

If you know the studio behind the title -You can search the studio website- as they will often provide links to etailers stocking their catalogue.

This: http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/movie/detail/-/art/Thursday-Ein-m%F6rderischer-Tag/hnum/3482824
Which is a bit cheaper than Amazon.de and miles cheaper than amazon uk's import price so good suggestion thanks. :D I'll have to compare the postage prices obviously. :)

Apparently the studio went bust shortly after release which makes getting hold of it challenging in the UK/US.

Actually I just noticed that Swedish site is selling the Australian version. I'll have to check out some Australian suppliers too. I at least know a few of them!

The link below has a comprehensive link of worldwide dvd etailers.

(However - as the information was compiled around 7 years ago, around 70/80% of the links are effectively dead.)

Your film (Thursday) only had 1000 dvds released in the U.S.A.

Australia is pretty much a no-go for dvds at the moment -due to the exchange rate & the fact that postage charges have been wacked up to idiotic levels by most of the companies.

Discshop charge 100K(roughly a tenner) for postage- but you can buy several items & only pay this flat rate charge - so for 1 dvd it will not make economic sense.

The jpc link shows the item as not being in stock- so I would go with the German version from Amazon.de.

Of course you could wait a while & get the Australian release from Amazon-Oz- as they are planning to launch a separate website & fulfillment operation in Australia soon.

The postage from any supplier not in the UK is absolutely idiotic as far as I can tell! There's a marketplace seller on Play.com (http://forums.thedigitalfix.co.uk/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=2) who has the Australian disc for £8 or the German one for £9. Will go for the German as the Australian is full screen. Both are unfortunately stereo!

I don't typically like buying products that are easily pirated off marketplaces or ebay. But who the hell counterfeits German and Australian DVD's?? :)

They don't actually have the German one. :( They sent the Australian one which I'm returning for a refund. Looking like Amazon again!
