Looking at the possibility of a PAYG iPhone and wondered the following:

1. When you purchase the PAYG iPhone, is there a requirement to purchase a top-up every month to get the 12 months worth of wifi/internet?

2. Is there a way to find out how much data you use per day?

3. Is the phone unlocked?

Thanks. I was almost buying this but the woman in the O2 shop insisted that you had to top up £10/month to get the free wi-fi/internet, which I found strange.

So in theory, for very low usage, the £10 you top up initially could last for the full year for calls and you could just take advantage of the free email?

Presumably, you could also use a Tesco mobile SIM as it is O2?

You need to have some credit on your sim to get the free 12months, but I bought one on Xmas Eve, have not made any voice calls or topped up, and am still happily getting free data...

So how much data to people tend to use per day? (trying to work out what the best deal is)
