Thinking about getting this. From all accounts, the DVD package sounds fantastic, but is the movie any good? Or should I expect one-and-a-half hours of 80's cheese?

Pure 100% unadulterated 80s Cheese.
And thats part of what makes it brilliant :)

This is a great 2-disc package. The documentary on the making of the film is over 80 minutes, and well put together.

Buy it.

Ah. As long as it's good 80's cheese, I'm happy :)

Think I'll pop off an order to Play then. Bit strange that they charge £18 for the first release, and £16 for the 20th Anniversary SE :brickwall:

If you want to save a few quid DVDBoxoffice (http://www.dvdboxoffice.com) have Tron for about £12.50. I know some people grumble about delivery times but in my experience Play are no quicker shipping things.

The film is AMAZING. This film looks better than most special effect films today...........****** CGI!!!!

If you don't want to get it from dvdboxoffice then try absound (www.absound.ca) who do it for the £12/13 delivered. Got mine in about 5 days rom e-mail confirmation.

Thanks, but I'm generally very happy with Play. Usually R1 titles arrive in two days, R2 a bit longer (and I have to take a trip down to the mail depot).

Mind you, my order is still sitting on "Processing" :( Hope their service hasn't taken a turn for the worse....

I forgot all about this film.

That's what so great about these forums, always someone to remind you, so bang that's another one ordered.
