I was under the impression that Zack & Miri is a sub-par Blu-ray in the UK, isn't it only 1080i rather than 1080p??

Yep, it's 1080i/50, so you get the added bonus of speed-up too.

You can probably blame Which? magazine for that. According to them, this 24fps thing is a 'glitch' that could be solved if only companies would release things at the more traditional European faster speed, which, apparantly, people don't even notice. *despairs*
