Tristan, can you confirm that it's the original version that was released in the UK with the Jerry Goldsmith score?

Also, what's the picture/sound quality like?

Okay, I just watched it and it's a 90 minute cut, so I'm not sure whether this is the original UK cut or not? It does have a Jerry Goldsmith score. Picture quality is very good when you consider its age and the fact that a great deal takes place at night and in misty woods. Sound is Dolby Digital 2.0 and sounds pretty good and open.

This will certainly be the original UK (and European) theatrical cut which was about 94 minutes at 24 fps. The USA cut with the alternative score is a few minutes shorter. Seems best to get the R1 DVD in a few months which will contain the unseen longer cut with the Goldsmith score as well as the USA cut plus many extras.

How is it in the HMV now when it's not due out until 4th March?

Have they got their own version with an exclusive cover, as they've done with a few other titles?

It is indeed early (by two weeks according to the advertised street date) but it's got the standard cover (at least here in Southend)....
