Help I'm trying to buy a reasonable quality entry level ATB, Dawes, Fuji or similar, but can't find many suppliers. Any suggestions ?

How much do you want to spend?
'Entry level' can mean different things to different people :)

if you're after a supplier, then the suppliers forum would possibly be the best place to go.

As Dodgy says - 'entry level' differs between folks. But I'm guessing you mean something pretty cheap, as I personally wouldn't give a second thought to either Fuji or Dawes :)
Regardless, get thee down to a proper bike shop - sizes vary between manufacturers anyway, so the only way to know if a bike fits properly is to actually test ride it. If you want something cheapish from a reasonable manufacturer, I'd look at Specialized and Trek, but saying that I've never owned bikes from either :) My wife and friends do though!
I've got a Specialized Hard Rock and would recommend it - great bike, crappy name. Probably your best bet is to wait until a new range of bikes comes out, as larger bike shops sell off last year's (perfectly good) bikes to make room for newer ones. If you're in London, I think FW Evans near Waterloo are the dog's ********.
In before the move, woo hoo, etc. :)

Check out the MTB mags, you often see the adverts where they give generous discounts on last year's models.

I think that http://www.paulscycles.co.uk are as good as any but they are out in the wilds of Norfolk. So, unless like me you have family in the fens it's a long way to go just for a bike.
I would like to add:
- Don't get a full suspension bike unless you're looking to spend a lot of cash - they are very heavy, they bobble up and down when you climb and they are sadly very popular.
- Don't be afraid to get a bike without front suspension - you'll get more for your money and it will make you a better rider.
- Spend all you can - There are a lot of really cheap bikes around but they are shoddy and heavy and probably not enjoyed as much as they should be.
That said, I've bought a bike with suspension but I'm just fat and lazy.
Tom.
moving to suppliers before more padders get in
