Considering all the previous corruption, I imagine it'll be Italian! Be interesting to see who and what action is taken. Uefa pretty much bottled it last time from what I recall, and backed down from the original charges.
If they don't back down on the charges it will probably be some tiny fine and a point reduction which will probably get over turned on appeal.

I wouldn't bet on it being Italian, more likely a team from a smaller nation - takes less money to bribe a team already on low wages

It seems the bribes relate to match fixing for gambling and not to win the match as in recent Italy, I'm guessing someone small from Eastern Europe

The club is from Macedonia according to SSN
Original bbc story has updated with the team, FK Podeba.

Damn.... I'm still hoping for AC Milan to get charged over the 1973 Cup Winners Cup final against Leeds! ;)
There is clear and apparent evidence of match fixing in 2nd division Greek games. Check out some of the odds on the correct score and half time full time markets sometimes and they are often out of line with the market 'norm'.
If I know about this, and thousands of other people on forums not too much of a jump away from here, then I can't understand how UEFA don't. They seem to want to pick their battles with the smaller leagues and countries.

I have never heard of them but I went to Macedonia to watch Bolton play FK Rabotnicki a couple of years ago. We reckoned that their players were on hundreds of pounds a month rather than thousands. The clubs are run by megalomaniac chairman and the league has suffered in quality from the collapse of Yugoslavia.
First time I've been through a KFOR check on my way to a match, scary stuff. And it turns out the Vardar Skopje t-shirt I bought has a white supremacy logo on it :suspect:
