Does anywhere sell B&W speakers at less than RRP?

I'm interested in the DM303's, if I can get them for around £150 that is. :)

B&W aren't that easy to get hold of at a discount - only significant savings to be had if it's an old model. The 303 is fairly new so you might struggle.

To be honest - they retail at only £30 more than you're looking to pay, and they're worth it. Good speakers.

I think that rather depends on the supplier. I did some work for my local supplier and he managed to give me a massive discount on a couple of pairs of CDM9T's. (Well over 40%). He told me that he could still make a handsome profit selling them that way as well!

mmm - maybe the significant bit there being that you'd done work for him?....A discount will be easier to secure on a CDM9T - that is hardly comparable to trying to discount a £180 model such as the 303.

I'm sure that most hi-fi dealers make a handsome profit on all their kit - but the manufacturer often has a big say in levels of discount. Marantz, for instance, aren;t happy with any discount over 18%......

I've had all my B&W stuff off superfi and indeed most of the remaining stuff as well. Never beaten them on price :)

Interestingly I was going to post the same question today as I am after some rears to match my front P5s and centre CC6, both B&W. Does anyone have any info on:

1. 601 versus 602 S3 as rears compared to the dipoles

2. the CMC / LCR60 / LCR600 as centres compared to my current CC6

Sorry for the mini-hijack ;)
