[360] FIFA BAP LEAGUE - Season Starts 23rd April - Pre Season Cup Thu 16th @ 9.30pm!

Hi All,

We have been invited to join rllmuk's BAP league, basically we will be part of their already established league. We will have a team in there probably called RPL DVDF or somethin along those lines.

They have a proper website where you can track individual player stats and goals and results etc. It really is a great website, have a look @ http://www.rllmukproevo.co.uk/

We need 10 people to sign up to this until I can confirm we will be taking part. But heres the catch, we can only use the 10 people we have, we cant get anyone else. so if we only have 8 one night, then we play with 8! This is so that we can keep track of everyones stats throughout the league. We will get our own team members section of their website also, for us to discuss the upcoming, results etc.

Another good thing about this is that at the end of the season all of you will be available for transfer! And can be bought by anyone of the other managers from the other 5 teams! So if Br00n keeps up his good work and ends up with an overall rating accross the season of like 8.00 and people noltice him as a good player, a manager from another team may bid for him, which means we wont see him anymore!! I think this is a really cool aspect of it!

So basically the league is every Thursday at 10.00 - 11.00 usually.

So can any of you guys commit too playing this every Thursday (I realise sometimes something urgent may come up, but in general are you free). If so and you want to play then let me know.

We have around 3-4 weeks of practice until the new season starts!

It will be good for all of us as we have been getting into this alot really and to have regular competitive matches can only be a good thing! I also think if we have a chance of getting rid of Br00n its worth a go!!

I think we should change team - I like the idea of using England - 4-4-2 nice and simple.

Pace and skill on the wings, Crouchy up front with Rooney, 2 strong MCs in Gerrard and Lampard with Rio & Terry at CD - seems more solid than spain.

I'm not into playing as France - purely because it's France. Then again, the scots among us may not want to play as England ;)

Well Jimmy should get the space in my eyes. But DKM and Sheepking both said they wanted too play through messages on xbox.

I realise you cant make every week Hannay, I'm on Holiday end of May for 2 weeks as well, so we will also be missing a couple, but for example if a couple is missing Blady would have to take the Any slot, and control the rest. It wouldnt be a major loss, but its just important too try and get as many people available as possible.

It also helps for your records to record who has the best ratings etc.

Mike who runs the league has advised we need 10 and cant have anymore as this is the case for the other 5 teams. So we cant have exceptions. Which I appreciate.

I do disagree with it slightly dont get me wrong, if we could have a squas of 12 it would help us no end. But this is the way it is and thats that I guess!!

We wont get choice over team Hannay, we will be told come the start of the new season I believe. Ill double check though.

You are correct on the limit of 10 players thing. We ran the 1st season with squads of over 10 and it just led to people having to miss out on games, since everyone got the bug and made sure they were available. Added to that is the whole valuation thing that goes on in the background, and is based on 10 players per team (it's quite complicated, but there is a report about it (http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgn49npv_10c4fd3ngc) if interested).

Although matches may end up with 8 or 9 instead of 10, it works ok in practice.

Team selection-wise, I'm gonna ask the mangers to pick teams early so you and the other new team have enough time to get upto speed.

im up for playing this, and with regard to position i dont mind playing anywhere, but been practicising with randomers online playin on either wing, and got 8/9 ratings each time. ive noticed alot of ball following goes on in these game so if wingers keep the width theres always an out ball to one of the wingers. especially if there fast like lennon or walcott if were england ;)

Sweden have the likes of Ibrohimovich and Kallstrom on the team and some other good ones, Czech have Baros, Nedved and that Koller and Rosicky i think??, I think they could be good. Koller for his aerial presence.

There has been a mess up with the team selection, it turns out Turkey and Czech are 4.5* teams, so we cant have them! And as other teams had our 3rd and 4th choices higher in their list, they got em.

I dont know whats happened mate, I thought you was playing, which is why I didnt reply back to your message before. But just looking at the list like you said and your not there, but yet I cant see anyone who shouldnt be there, the only person I think who has come in late and wasnt in the original list for the league with us is Tommy. He had the B team so wasnt in our plans for the League. You sent me a message confirming you could play as well, so something has been missed.

I think we were 1 short and Tommy asked to play so I asked him too instead of just checking my xbox messages and putting you down!

So as you can see they are very even, Defence wise I think Norway nick it slightly, but in terms of keeper there is a huge difference between them.

Midfield, CDM is much better, wingers on both side have alot of pace, with Ireland have the better dribbling stats. CAM for Norway is Pedersen, can be LM as well, but I think would work CAM, he is alot better than Reid.

Upfront CF's are very similar with Norway being much quicker

ST, Carew is immense in the air, has a better top speed,strength,shot power etc, but keane has better dribbling,acceleration,volleys, but poor strength and heading ability.

If Norway had a better keeper I would of gone with them, but its just the huge difference in them.

Bit late to be going over tactics but me and Br00n are definitely guilty of holding onto the ball for too long and as a team we rely on the wings way too much when there's plenty of space in the centre, not just saying that because I play in the centre ;)

I thought we played some good passing football at times.

We only started 'punting' it when one of your defenders was sitting much deeper than everyone else, giving a huge area for forwards to stroll into.
