projector, bracket, screen & P&P £450 - Is this a good deal?

a mate of mine is selling his infocus 5700 projector, ceiling bracket & 82" screen shipped for £450.

looks like a decent deal, dispite the age of the thing. dont know yet how much use the bulb has had. probably would need a new one if he's been using it.

what do you guys think?
edit - just seen one going for £200 on avforums last year, humm keep looking but its looking like less of a good deal...and its not 1080p...

i've not long got a 42" panny but a HD prjector would be sweet. just dont know yet if ive got enough length in my room to fit it

I think it's a bit pricey, especially if you have to replace the bulb.

That projector isn't HD at all (1024x576 resolution) and if you're looking for something to rival your 42" TV, then this isn't the thing to buy.

In addition to this, before buying a DLP projector, check to make sure that you're not effected by the rainbow effect.

To check for rainbows use the DVD of 28 Days Later.
