What are they like for
Sending out pre orders on the day, before or several days later?
customs (though I am only looking to buy one film under the £18)
delivery times is it like dvdcrave 4 -5 days?
I've found dlivery can as fast as 3-4 days. Not usually a problem with customs and you get different packaging options e.g. envolop (with/without sleeve), padded envelop, box etc... I've only made one preorder with them and there was a slight delay on it so I'm not quite sure what they're like normally.
I've ordered a fair few pre-orders and there's no gurantee you'll get it before or on the release date but thats no biggie in my book.
Customs have never been a problem so far [touches wood].
Delivery time has always taken five days.
And I would recommend using the $3.60 delivery method.
If anything goes wrong e-mail glenn@devoted.com.au and he'll sort your prob out asap. Brilliant cs.

but on the info page of devoted it says
for international shipping this cannot be shipped in an unpadded envelope.
and what does it mean by unpaded envelope with dvd sleave?
It means its a thick paper type envelope but they open up the dvd case and put the dvd into a paper sleeve with a bit of foam to wedge it into the case. IMHO, this is a great packaging option because the dvd can't become a floater and get all scratched. The worst case scenario is that the amaray case gets trashed in the post but in all my orders thats never happened and over a number of disks the saving in P&P could always pay for the occasional trashed case.
The only downside is that sometimes they forget to put the dvd into the sleeve (2 orders of mine so far) despite the bill showing you paid for it. In one case the dvd did come off the spindle and was very heavily scratched.

Some films (especially 2 disk jobbies) they can't physically fit into a envelope. So you have to use the next packaging up which I think is $5.10.
Davidsi has answered your last question.
I went for the $6.20 padded envelope with dvd sleeve, so thanks guys it makes the film just under £13 which is less than the R1 was.

i've only ordered once from them and was very impressed.
10 days from the time i placed my order to receiving it, including about 6 days whilst they ordered the stock in.
Very prompt (at least as good as most UK retailers when it comes to items they have to order in).
I used the basic option for my order (as i had ordered 6 DVD's they arrived in a large padded envelope).
I'm going to be ordering from them again next month (for a larger order this time).
