Hi,

I would like an MP3 player for jogging, but I use linux so do not want to have to be tied to itunes.

Ideally, I would like to be able to just drag and drop MP3s onto the device, without having to using any kind of special media software.

Does anyone know if there are any cheap USB mp3 players which would be suitable??

I have the Creative Zen Stone and you can drag and drop MP3s onto it without any special software to install. I use it for the gym/jogging and its better than carrying around a full size iPod type device.

If you understandably don't want itunes then the best mp3 players are the Creatives or the new Sony ones.

The cheap no name mp3 players tend to be drag and drop as well. Although sound quality's a different matter.

I ended up buying this Sony MP3 player, because it can drag and drop and work on Ubuntu:
