Many thanks! :notworthy

I was looking at it despairingly at £24.99 in Zavvi yesterday, so this has made my day. :D

I presume this is a single disc release, like the other Warner Bros versions? The US Paramount BRD is on two discs and has double the bitrate (but is twice the price :()

Doesn't it only have DD 5.1 rather than the trueHD on the US disc?

The UK edition is 1-disc and does have half the bitrate of the US 2-disc version. I know, I've owned them both (kept the US one). UK disc still looks good though. Can't remember what the sound options were on the UK disc, but the US disc does have TrueHD according to the back of the box.

This is now £9.99 at Play (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=2&url=http://www.play.com/Product.aspx?r=BLU&title=3593875) (currently oos but you can still order it)

How come the image at both amazon and play show the cover as saying 2 disc director's cut??

How come the image at both amazon and play show the cover as saying 2 disc director's cut??Dunno.. just a mistake prolly.

Mine is the 1 disc version from play and says 'director's cut' on the cover in the same font as the text in that image.

Do you mean audio bitrate or video?

Now £6.85 from Zavvi:

utter bargain:

In summary:

its 1 disc
has DD 5.1 (not true)

But it still looks stunning and its heavily dialogue driven so not having trueHD doesn't matter - also fincher filmed it so the older scenes use more like Mono type sound and it progresses in sound as the years go by.

The US 2 disc would cost at least double this.
