Hi, dont know if this has allready been talked about but when i try and set up my Microsoft exchange i get the following error

unable to verify certificate
wile automatically discovering account settings, the certificate form "example.net" could not be verified

i click accept and then it asks me for the server so i fill that in mail.example.net

and i get this error

unable to verify certificate
the certificate from "mail.example.net" for account could not be verified

Anyone know what im doing wrong or what i need to do to make it work?

What version of Exchange do you have and have you OWA working externally as well?

sorted it, my phone is linked to my laptop so i didnt want to sync with my work PC as when i do that with my ipod it asks if i want to delete and replace,

i tried syncing with my phone and it didnt ask if i wanted to delete and i just synced my mail accounts and its filled all the info in, all i had to do was add a password and i can now send and receive.

Got a question regards Iphone and Exchange.
Can you have it set up so its synchs with exchange via push email, but the contacts as synched from outlook thats not connected to an exchange server.
I have my contacts at home i want on the phone yet want to be able to use push email with out having to resort to putting my home contacts into outlook at work. Can do this with my Touch Plus no problem, but looking at junking the WiMo pile of steaming stuff when my contract comes up for renewal.

Hope that makes sense.

You sure can - you just choose the Sync option inside of iTunes.

I had such problems with yahoo mail and the ipod touch that I switched to gmail - I never knew whether it was going to send my yahoo mail or not.

The exchange email - check your settings - you can set it to download 1, 2 or 3 days worth of Exchange email and it may be you're set for 24 hours, and the first mail was just outside that, so the phone didn't grab it.

Cheers. Can you also select which folders you can synch via Itunes?
Would need my inbox plus several other folders that have mail moved to them through Rules.

Iphone is looking like the favourite when i come to renew. The G1 looks nice but no native Exchange Push mail support is a big problem.
Only other phone i like the look of is the Palm Pre.

Just go to Settings/Mail and choose your Exchange account. You'll see an option saying "Mail days to sync".

It won't sync your actual emails - just your contacts and account settings from Outlook.
