So much for it being seen as offensive then. ;)
Good to see Arnie back on top though.

He might be number 1 but the boxoffice total was low.
$10 million compared to the $40 million his films used to open with before Batman & Robin.
Good to see the Rollerball remake dying on it's feet.
Hate to be picky, but it was a touch over $15m. I'm sure it won't be a patch on his earlier films, though.

Obviously its not gonna make as much as T2, but who cares ?.
Arnie's got a no.1 boxoffice hit again, thats all that matters.
When does it come out here?

Pretty much any big new movie goes to number one in the States. True test is weeks 2, 3 and 4.

I had the misfortune of watching it last Friday along with Rollerball 2002, all I can think of is the word VILE!
As i mentioned in a prevous thread, it looks like Warner Bros. might not even give it a theaterical showing here (they hate it as much as the industry folk in attendance) & i have to say I can't blame them, got to be one of Arnold's blandest, it's up there with End of Days.
As for Rollerball, I'd rather watch Glitter again.....

End of Days was one of Arnies better recent movies.
Does he have any great 1 liners in CD ?.:D

Well, nothing jumps to mind apart from "Double dipping whore"
which brought a smile to my face though Arnie doesn't have any great one liners & there's an 'ear scene' that made me cringe.
If for some strange reason it does get a theatrical release here, I'd say wait for the video release.

Perhaps not, but it's the best (and only) info given so far.:)

Why have a go at Arnie? It is not his fault if he is given a bad script? TBH he is probably the action star I look forward to seeing - those one liners are immense.
I'd be very surprised if an Arnie film went straight to video !

Davester, no one is 'having a go' at Arnie, but coming from a huge Arnie fan (yes me!) I'm deeply dissapointed in CD.
As for it's not his fault he's given a bad script, do you know anything about Hollywood film making :D
Arnie has pretty much full control on his movies from script rewrites, choosing a director right down to how many close ups he has in the final cut, this is standard stuff written into his contract before he even signs on to a movie.
I've been to Warner HQ in central London several times in the past month & everyone I've spoken to, are, at this point in time unsure it will get a UK theatrical release, if it tanks at the US box office...

Arnie is GOD, and I won't hear anything bad said about him! :D ;)
No seriously, I love all of Arnie's films, and I thought End of Days was excellent! The 6th Day was very good too, I don't know why some people dislike his recent films (obviously some people don't like them, but I mean people who usually like Arnie movies who don't like them, if you understand me..) and think they're not as good as the older films.
I've been waiting for this for ages and I can't wait to see it.
Hopefully they'll do a True Lies 2, and maybe even get around to starting production on Crusade, after T3 of course! :D
Besides, given the current climate in the US, if any film is virtually guaranteed to make money, surely it's a film involving Arnie, terrorists and probably loads of guns and explosions. This must equal mega money...... surely? (I don't mean to sound insensitive or anything, just trying to analyse the US film-going public - I may be totally wrong though)
