Broke his arm, it got stuck under him the wrong way as he slid to make the tackle

He was red carded as well.

CARMARTHEN TOWN 3 BANGOR CITY 1

Three second half goals saw Town redress a first half deficit to run out deserved winners in a game that was overshadowed by the hospitalisation of Bangor front man Chris Sharpe after he had put the Citizens in front on the quarter hour.

With Hancock suffering a groin strain Dodds retained his place in Town's defence with Roberts preferred to Walters on the wing. With City captain Limbert & midfielder Killackey suspended Beattie provided the cover for the Citizens.

Following an even opening Bangor took the lead when Sharpe was fouled by Richard Hughes and the frontman touched the ball home at the far post after Hoy's free kick from the flank had evaded Town's defence.

Then on 27 minutes Sharpe went from hero to villain when he was red carded for a two footed tackle on Richard Hughes resulting in the striker being taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm.

Nasty. At least they got medics to him quickly when they realised his arm was still under his back!

It's a good job he didn't make proper contact with the other player of the both of them could have ended up being stretched off. Awful tackle and fully justifying a red card.
