Today we got a new Sky+ box installed, engineers were in and out within minutes, due to the fact it was just the box being upgraded from the original plus box, once they were done we pretty much left the house without checking things, just returned home to find that Ch4 and Ch5 are missing from the EPG...most bizarre, in all the years we had the other Sky+ box Ch4 and Ch5 were always present and correct, so wtf have they gone with this new box....anyone?
If it's a pace box? Exactly the same thing happened to me. Do the following and check it afterwards.
1/ Unplug your Sky+ box from the mains for 60 seconds.
2/ Before plugging back in, with your finger, press and hold the "back up" button on the front of the box and plug your box back in. Do not release the "back up" button yet.
3/ A message will now appear on screen which reads" Updating system firmware. Do not unplug or disconnect from satellite dish, this will take up to 15 minutes" When this appears, release your finger and wait till the box updates its self.
Give that a go mate and see how you get on.

Silent Bob,
Do you know if they paired the viewing card to the new box? Were the channles working fine after the installation? This is typical of what you would get from an unpaired STB.
Try going to 305 or 401, or one of the other movies/sports channels. If it says 'This is the wrong card, etc' then the box has not been paired up, and unfortunately you're going to have to call up Sky to get this paired.
Even in saying that though - if when visiting those channels all seems well, then you may still need to phone up to get the signals re-sent....
Let us know how you get on?
All the best.
Cheers,
Stevie.

Hi Stevie, I was on the phone to them on saturday where we went through numerous things resulting in them resending the signals, they said it could take up to 4hrs...4hrs later and still the same, just got back home from being away yesterday and it's still the same, looks like another call to them, watch this space. :(

Jobs a goodun now...a quick call to sky again and all got sorted, funny thing is, they told me to do exactly what I did the other day, access the engineers menu etc.. quick update and channels were found and region was rectified.

Hi mate,
If you've still got no luck with this - can you try the following and see if it helps?
Press the 'Services' button on your remote, then press '4', '0', and '1' buttons in quick succession, followed by the 'Select' button. This should bring you to the hidden 'Installer Setup' menu.
Now go down and select the 'New Installation', and follow the prompts, including doing a callback at the end. Part of this process will do a Channel Search - so may bring them through.
Not 100% if this'll work - but there's certainly no harm in trying.
Hope this helps - let us know how you get on.
Cheers,
Stevie.

Great news - pleased you've finally got it sorted!
Looks like I was busy typing up my response whilst you were typing your own...
Oh well - looks like my advice was correct anyway - is that right?
Anyway, really pleased for you!
Cheers,
Stevie.
