Stupid question I know but I'm not quite sure..... I too have succumbed to the Sony 1070 from Richer and its nearly all setup, just the sub left.

The rear of the sub has two clipper sockets for bare wire, the amp has a couple of phone sockets for sub(s?), I've bought a 2 phone - 2 phone lead, can I cannibalise this? presumably cut a socket off and split the inner/outer cable up? Or do I need a custom lead...?

Cheers.

Is your sub self-powered ie does it have a built in amp? If not I think you're going to have to wire it into the front speaker circuit.

Baps, just the fella, I acquired the satellites and sub from the Sony DAVS300 all in one set, there are no other connections inputs/outputs other than the two clipper terminals on it..

Think you're screwed mate. The DAV300 amp must amplify the sub channel internally. The Sony 1070 only provides a pre-out for the .1 channel, which needs to be amplified externally. So either use a seperate amp to power the sub, or wire the sub into the front channel (the latter won't give a true .1 channel, though).
