A question to anyone who has the Twin Peaks R3 Pilot episode...

A few years ago I bought the entire Twin Peaks series on VHS (there was little better at the time). The tapes had everything except the first episode. The 'Pilot' was available as a separate tape - however, this was basically a mini-movie, with an explanation of Laura Palmers death completely at odds with what happened in the TV series and FWWM.

So the question is - does the pilot lead straight into the first series?

Hope this made sense.

There are two versions of the pilot:

The TV movie version with an ending that solves the mystery

The true pilot which leads onto episode 2.

I understand that someone different owns the rights to the series and so they'll never be released as a huge glorious set. :(

As to which versions are available and which region... I'll need someone else to assist...

As has recently been the case with the three Die Hard movies it's possible for rights issues to be different in different regions. There was a rumour posted here a couple of days ago that we may get season one released here in R2 WITH the pilot.

Deaks.

The R3 pilot is the one that leads straight into the series - not the TV movie version with the giveaway ending.

Hope that helps
