Ive got a 2nd gen (i think) Nano 4gb and basically its been through the washing machine.

I let it dry out, at first the screen was all blurred but now the functions all work fine and the music is clear.

The only problem now is its not being recognised when plugged in to a USB port. Now the USB port is chargin the ipod but its just not seeing it so basically i cant add or delete any more songs.

Ive tried putting it into disk mode but cant seem to do that either.

Any advice or is it stuck with the same songs on forever now??

Thanks in advance

Probably stuck to be honest. I got mine wet and managed to get it working again thank god but if it's working but just not transferring then it sounds like something got fried. You can get it repaired by apple but it's not cheap

Have you tried taking it apart to make sure it's all dried out inside? Also, they use some very small ribbon cables in iPods - perhaps the movement in the washing machine has loosened something?

I don't know how you open a 2nd gen Nano - a first gen one (the white/piano black ones) are opened by prying apart the front and back outers.
