I'm sure it can not just be me, who buys DVDs for the sake of it some of the time, wether it be boredom, or cheapness ?
Just sorted out my collected and found a few titles that I think, erm WHY DID I BUY THAT ? Then can not get rid of the film for love or money. Sometimes without watching it
Titles inc
End of days ? no idea
Karate Kid Trilogy (only coz it was cheap at play on pre order)
Schwarzenegger 4 disk box set (Erm it was cheap !)
6th Day ? no idea
Crime II box set (2 copies?) Res Dogs, Killing Zone and Suicide kings (cheap as DVD box office miss priced them.
Plus a few more, which I've managed to off load via ebay.
I really can not miss a good deal some of the time. Not as bad now, but in the past if it was a cheap price I would buy it.
Come on, somebody must be as bad as me.......
Yes, I have bought a few DVDs before and then cannot get rid of them, usually either and I bought it on impulse, or it was cheap.
I almost always read reviews now and I am very careful about what I am buying.
It's much easier to resist buying DVDs for me when you are on the Internet and not on the high street - and you can check out reviews before you buy! :)
If you've ever seen Josie and the Pussycats, you'll realise what the movie studios do to DVDs. Subliminal messaging is the future don't you know.:p
I have the new Power Rangers DVD on pre-order. [spoiler Joking!!! :D [/spoiler]
The good thing is you've joined this place internetuser, so you can offload a load of your discs in the classifieds forum. Or as some others on here have done give them away or start a competition to win them.
BTW this may get moved to the dvd discussion forum.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Very Cheap)
Monkey - Volumes 1 - 8 No Less! (It was great when I was 13!)

I know this is'nt quite on topic ,but heres a few dvd's i whish I had'nt bought when I did.
Titanic, very bad, now destroyed by my daughter.
Thin Red Line, look's beautiful but is also very bad.
The Sixth Sense, A one trick pony par excellence.
Platoon, A new version with commentry, what have I got the crappy original.
Seven, once again bought the original, now have the 2 disk set.
Die Hard, see above.
Their are others but I don't want to bore anyone.
As someone else who's heading towards the 500 DVD's mark, I often sit and look at the shelves and wonder how on earth I bought so many, and more to the point, what else I would have done with the money spent on those bits of plastic sitting on the shelves. A new car would have been a lot more practical in retrospect. :(
My 30% discount with HMV convinves me everytime. £17.99 might be enough to put me off a purchase, then I remember that with my discount it's only £12.60 - Bargain. I'll take two!

I'm there already...507 with about another ten on order. Mind you, the wife can lay claim to quite a few of them and there are some childrens titles in there too for my son. I've bought something in the region of 50 discs since the start of the year (41 days?) - the sales were good to me (or bad, depending on your point of view). Looking back there's some real chaff in there too (AB House & House 2 - they were cheap!!!)
My biggest problem is deciding what to watch...
Wish I had Navy Seals.... :D

You're joking - just a huge money eater and thousands of pounds depreciation per year! Me, I drive a 1985 Golf diesel - no rust, goes well and no breakdowns in 13 years (apart from when the battery went flat - the one disadvantage of a diesel :) ) - I'd rather spend £100 a month on DVDs that will practically last forever than £300 a month on a shiny new car that can only deteriorate inexorably till it hits the scrap heap :D
