Hello All,

Came across this and thought I'd post it....

Not sure about it being a huge 'bargain' but worth a look as a unique option for Valentines day.

Mine arrived this morning - a cute little 35g chocolate bar with a personal inscription on the front and back - not bad for a couple of quid!

Do the send it anonymously?

It would be unfortunate if it arrived with an invoice attached.

when you get to the order confirmation stage there is an option to leave comments/instructions for the seller.

You can just leave a note there asking them not to put in a packing slip/invoice etc... at least that's what I did :)

Thanks.

(I'm assuming they complied :))

are these actually personalized on the choc itself or is it just a printed wrapper. if its the latter then it'll take about 10 mins to knock something up like that in any DTP package to wrap around a bar of decent choc.

will find out soon enough ;)

It's on the wrapper - my other half hasn't opened her bar yet, so can't tell you whether it's actually on the chocolate itself or not...

Still looks nice though. :)

Rats!

They use ******** paypal and I can't ensure that it gets sent to a different address.

God, I hate paypal.

Yes but it would be good if you could guarantee that it was posted anonymously should that be a required feature.

Unfortunately they use ******* paypal and you can't be sure.

I bought one bar today and was able to enter an alternative despatch address without any problem.

I also added a note to the seller within the checkout process requesting that they don't put any payment/invoicing inside the package, just in case.

I'm sure the chocolate will suck badly (cheap) but it's a nice gimmick.

I've been caught out with paypal before. I was supposed to be able to add instructions to a payment and it sudddenly put up a payment confirmed screen before I ever got the chance. They're just not trustworthy.

I also don't ever remember seeing an option for a different delivery address using paypal.

£1.50 for 35g (~1.25 oz) of chocolate is extremely expensive. I would have hoped the chocolate would not be cheap.

I don't mean this is cheap - I suspect the chocolate will be fairly cheap tasting.

Re: the address - as I already have a PP account, it showed my normal home address but I just clicked the 'change' link just beneath this and entered a new one (my GF's).

DISAASTER!

I stupidly went ahead with the paypay payment and it did not offer me a chance to add instructions to the seller.

DO NOT USE THIS IF IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOUR STUFF IS SENT ANONYMOUSLY

Got a very nice reply from them when I emailed them and they assure me the order will be sent anonymously.

Outside of Yorkshire we tend not to send valentines to our mums. ;)
