Playback Sky+ recordings on disconnected box

Hi - Sorry if this has been asked before and I've missed it. I've upgraded to an HD box but still have recordings on my old Sky + box that I want to watch.

Currently the only way I can do it is to swap the signal cables and the card back to the old sky+ box to watch recordings. Meanwhile, of course, my HD box can't record current programs I have scheduled.

Does anyone know a 'work around' for this please? i.e. a way of watching programs recoreded on a disconnected sky box?

Depends how many recordings you have? Short of a multiroom subscription (no doubt subject to a 12 month minimum term), you'll have to keep doing the same as now, or maybe dump the programmes off to a VCR or DVD recorder. Personally I would have watched everything prior to the box change as I've had to do a few times before.
