Hi, just recently i managed to get a rare import white sega saturn, my tele-video can accept the signal, but i want to use it on my bigger television at home and that doesn't accept ntsc input. I wanted to ask other members if they knew retailers on the web who sell this type of converter at a cheap price?

Thanks for your help:confused:

Depends whether your TV can cope with other signal formats. What do you currently get - complete garbage, or a functional black and white image?

If complete garbage (rolling, unwatchable) you'll need a full standards converter. Lektropacks sell them from about £300 to about £800 depending on the conversion quality.

If B&W stable - does your console have RGB capability, and does your TV have RGB input. If yes, use it. If no, an analog colour converter (about £70 from Lektropacks) will do the trick.

Cheers for that info. In answer to your question the picture appears in black and white, i tried to use aerial-scart lead but that also didn't work. As for RGB, i don't believe my tv does at home.

So whats the next course of action.

Argh... looking for the same. I'd rather buy a new TV rather than persevere with my current one.

Hiya,

While looking for something totally different, stumbled across this... http://www.technodevices.com/item73.htm

Not sure whether it works for a sega saturn though.

Ramirez - I've got an NTSC-PAL converter I'm trying to get rid of (having a big clearout). I've never been sure if its worked properly as it refused to work with my DVD player - but then so did another one that I know worked. I don't need it and its just taking up space atm.

If you still want one, I'll send you this if you'll pay the postage. If it works, great. If it doesn't - bin it. You'd need a US plug adapter and your TV would either need a composite video input or you'll need one of those little comp. video to scart adaptor jobbies.

Let me know if you're interested?

Yeah but give Ramirez a chance to say first :)

Like I say though - I don't even know if it works properly
