Preouts on Yamaha amp??

My yamaha rxv592rds has preouts for the main channels but can I hook the preouts for the main stereo pair into an intergrated amp?.
Does an intergrated amp need a constant signal? I would prefer not to use a power amp so i can hook my CD player up to the intergrated amp without going through the yammy.

Yeah you can do that. Connect the pre-out to one of the tape loops on the integrated stereo amp. You'll have to balance the volume though.
