Does anybody know where I get a fret stone from as I've tried all over and they are like rocking horse doo doo....

...do you mean a 'whet stone'?...if not, would you mind telling me what the fish a 'fret stone' is?
it's used to file down guitar frets. (the bits of metal that the strings rest on to get the different notes)

They're both american sites but I did find a couple of UK sites who were offering fret services.
