Link is for a different printer isn't it? PX700W is £200 at Comet.

What's the difference ? not that well up on printers.
Just a thought if you shop for a washer at Currys & Comet same washer can have different model numbers to prevent price matching.

Me neither but I don't think you can just choose another random model and compare it
<Fred> Wow, I got a great deal on a Mondeo, only £12,000!
<Joe> Hold on a minute, I can see one here for £7,000...
<Fred> That's a Fiesta...
<Joe> Isn't that the same thing?

Looks like a different unit if you look at the pics... unless they've used generic photos of course!
It is different, its also a fax machine. Actually tempted but no disc printing, doubt I would use a fax very much.
Quick glance 700 ....6 colours faster
600.... 4 colours
Both same resolution both wireless 700 may finish the print before I go to the other room for it that's a bonus. ;)
Sorry for comparing apples and pears.
Unless anyone can talk me out of it I will pick up my reserved PX700w this pm.
Does this do photocopying too?
Both I think certainly the 600 does.
Very easy and quick to setup, never even had to plug it in via usb to set up the wireless.
PQ still undetermined but looks ok. The CD printing is great as there is no extra carrier to plug/slot in, its all internal to the printer itself.
Build quality not to shabby either but be careful with the paper tray/catcher.
oh and it "photocopies" as well.

Where is the paper tray located on the 700? Does it sit underneath?
Yes, not the biggest but takes all sizes up to A4, theres a divider that allows you to keep photo paper and envelopes in it at the same time.
Aesthetically it is great can be stored flush against a wall/unit as no paper hopper at the back.

Tempted... How pricey is the ink for these?
Some good deals on compatables, the official ones go for about £45-50 for a full set of 6. (pixmania etc)
Think I saw sets of compatables as low as £20-30.
I bought a set of official ones from Currys for £48 (misprice) as I am lazy... :) Will buy off the net in future though.
Having used for a couple of days now it really is a nice unit, looks more like a VHS than a printer!
How long does the black ink last in this if you're just printing letters, cvs and the odd picture?
I am still on the half full set that came with the printer, I am not a volume user but I understand its in line with other similar inkjets. I think I saw it in a review somewhere?

:thumbs:thought id treat myself to the epson inks seem to be cheaper and I am very happy indeed with the results
nice looking as printers go aswell if thats ur bag
and a bit of internet hunting found u can get full set of original epson claria carts for £35 which I thought was very reasonable for originals if u look around even the compat inks only come in slightley cheaper, and I do believe the not compat inks i used in my previous printer killed the colours after a while and could never get back to the same quality

I picked up an Epson SX600FW from Costco for £87.
Looks great and easy to set up.
RX700W or PX700W, the link takes you to the latter?
My Photo 900 has just stopped printing, so tempted by this or the SX600FW.
