I'm just about to take delivery of a new amp and can't decide whether to get my first sub at the same time or not.

The problem is our dog gets really nervous when it thunders (or other similar rumblings) and I don't know if she'd have the same reaction when the sub was used.

Has anyone had any such problems with pets when watching movies?

haha yes!!

i was watching almost famous, and our cat was asleep on a chair near the sub, and in the bit

where they are on the plane and there's a really loud thunder strike, our cat woke up and nearly jumped out her skin! it was so funny! :p

but really i don't think your dog will worry unless it's a scene like that where it's really thundering lots. our cat has never been bothered by the sub doing anything else.

Our cat gets most perturbed by surround sound and by the sub. She's getting used to it though.

The first time she heard sound comming from the back of the room she bolted for the door in the mad cat kind of way.
