Ok = I've done the vote counting bit, and here's the results of the 1st POTW of 2009

We had a draw for 3rd place on 40 points, but on the 1st places rule Miraclemaxx with 3 first place votes has been very narrowly beaten by the 5 first-place votes of...

Pretty hard week it has to be said, some quality pictures :)

I took this the first time I went outside with my new Canon G9, was the first image I was fairly happy with. Not been out much at all so far this year, as frankly its freezing and wet most days, and not in a scenic snowy tree way :D

Congrats Romero. Very nice pic.

Surprised (but happy) at my placing, thought it was an average shot. I was lucky to get a nice situation for it.

I'm really pleased that some voted for mine in number 1 position (except me of course). My first entry - might have to take some more now.

I really rate that photo:thumbs: If it wasn't for the mountain top pic (Sam's?)I'd have probably put yours first. Have to admit choosing my favourite between Sam's, Romero's and yours was tough.

Thanks. As I say, I was lucky in getting the right situation, low cloud/mist with snow.
Hope to get out and about a bit more with the camera this year, and maybe more regularly, using the POTW as an incentive to snap.
