Yeah, but it seemed a bit hit and miss to be honest, and some people who haven't checked it for a while might have missed the call to sign up for the new season. All in all, probably easier to have a separate thread (i'm sure Mr Speed will pick up anyone who did express interest in the other thread but doesn't do so in here too).

Will mainly move around and kip on friends floors and sofas, with just the occasional night in the car. It's short term pain for the long term gain of a council house which I then know will be my home. Should only take 6-8 months.

I'm sure with steviep-esque strict deadlines, we can knock a season off in around 5 weeks. And if anyone doesn't like it, we'll just end up having smaller leagues for season 3 due to bans :)

I'm tempted to say we get going shortly, preferably once we reach the magic 48 figure, but i'll leave that up to Mr Speed. Plus of course there will probably be some tough decisions to make over final positions from season 1 tables, what with games left unplayed.

Well provided Mr S is happy (and he has a few offers for admin support, including myself), and he can resolve the outstanding divisional placements in a way that doesn't upset too many people.

With 49 people now, if we're doing 3 divisions of 12 and a bottom division of 13, then I suggest we go the nice and easy route and use the 12 5 star teams in the game in each division (with 1 of the 12 used twice in the bottom division):

Yeah i can lend a hand. It's nearly 2 months since i finished my games and im getting withdrawl symptoms.

Would be good if we could get this back to 6 weeks a season with 2 weeks in between like the PES leagues of old.

And how did i arrive at this?

1. Based on Season 1 standings as they are now (positions in brackets), and assuming the top 3 in each division go into the Premiership, next 3 in each division into the Championship, and so on, as previously agreed.

2. Where people have not signed up for the new season, the next person below them in the pecking order has taken their place in the next division up (hence as it turns out we end up with all 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers from last season who have signed up in the Prem for Season 2, due to drop outs from some people who finished in the top 3 of divisions).

3. The one place where last season's league placings fail to satisfactorily determine new league placings is at the bottom of the Championship/top of League One. P Giddy, Jimmyboy and CSS all finished in 8th place in their respective divisions, so then i have gone to points per game earned, as they didn't play the same amount of games. On this measure, P Giddy did best, so he gets the last spot in the Championship.

4. Because of the large number of new players, i have used the fairest method i could think of to decide which 6 get to go into League One (the order in which they expressed their interest in signing up for Season 2), and the rest start in slightly larger League Two.

I have compared the above method method against creating divisions purely on the basis of points per game from last season. The results are almost identical, except that rryan and leemel profit and Jimmyboy and Chrishunt lose out in my preferred method. Any thoughts on which is the fairer method welcomed.

Everton and Celtic are 4* mate. Discounting Liverpool and Arsenal as being "too good", that leaves, err, Werder Bremen and Roma? Or are the latter too good and the former not good enough?

Hmm, yes the list i was using was clearly a bit flawed, as Werder were completely missing.

Hmm, yes the list i was using was clearly a bit flawed, as Werder were completely missing.

That list must be with Live Seasons applied, as it doesn't match the online defaults, but yeah, Werder in and Celtic out is a good call, don't want to get too hung up on it, we all want to play! :)

Played a couple of games against Villa and Everton last night, both really good teams!! Everton seem to be very fast upfront!
