PS3 default controller

EVERY time I turn my PS3 on, I have to go into the accessory settings and change the default controller from 2 to 1.

Does anyone know a permanent fix for this, so I don't have to keep doing the above?

Erm, do you have a PS3 bluetooth remote that you've reconfigured to be controller 1? No idea why that should be happening otherwise, maybe a USB adaptor for a PS2 pad or something maybe? My pad always defaults to controller 1 when I turn on the PS3 with it and my bluetooth remote takes up controller slot 7 which is default for that.

You've just given me an idea tobias - I got Buzz Quiz TV just before Xmas, and there was a little doobrie-whatsit that has to go into one of the USB ports on the front of the machine - perhaps that's causing it? Would be around the same time it started to happen, I think...

No worries man, I would guess that would be the problem though. :)

That will definitely be the problem, I have the same issue with a 3rd party IR remote control dongle. I haven't bothered looking for a fix though, as I don't use my PS3 that much for games! I don't go into the accessory menu though, there's a quick option to do it when you press the PS button.

Same problem here with the GH3 guitar dongle. BD remote defaults to 7 I think.
